Captain Clarity

We are playing our part in the historic evolution of a species.  Some day after we evolve even more as a species and a culture, I am convinced that our descendants will look back at us and consider us barbaric for slaughtering our babies by the millions as “a matter of convenience.”  We look back in disgust and horror at slavery, animal sacrifice, the ill-treatment of women and child labor practices of the past just to name a few.  For thousands of years all around the world, slavery was accepted as the norm and slave ownership as a right.  Every student of History knows that innumerable cultures on all continents traded in humans.  People who lived during those times considered those things acceptable, normal, just and even necessary.

As the masses became more educated and civil, those accepted standards became:

1. Practices to be questioned, then…
2. Political disagreements, then…
3. Hot-button political issues, then…
4. Something to fight for or against and eventually…

Nadya Suleman’s timing could not be better.  Right as we Americans have voted in the nanny-state, Nadya Suleman has blessed the people of California with the opportunity to prove that Uncle Sam is the best father a child could have.

Well, you’ve done it America. With the results of the 2008 election, you have given all branches of government to the party that promises you the most handouts. You care nothing for opportunity, if you can get a free handout, even though it will be taken from your neighbor.
